2019: Named to the WCC All-Freshman Team...Made 15 appearances on the year, including nine starts...Led the team with the only two complete games of the year...Went 2-4 with a 5.31 ERA and 39 strikeouts in 59.1 innings pitched during his rookie campaign...Held opposing hitters to a .217 batting average...Pitched 3.0 scoreless innings out of the bullpen against CSUN with four strikeouts...Pitched complete games against Pepperdine and Santa Clara, allowing just four runs in each...Had a season-high six strikeouts in 6.2 innings against San Diego.
Mead High School: Named Greater Spokane League MVP as a senior and was named first team All-GSL twice...As a senior, he posted a 0.58 ERA with 68 strikeouts....As a junior, posted a 1.17 ERA as a junior, striking out 46 in 31.1 innings of work and at the plate, he hit .370 with 20 hits, eight doubles...Tossed six shutout innings to push Mead past University during a play-in game to the 4A bi-district playoffs.
Personal: Son of Robert and Kathy Wells...Has one brother, Dayton...plans to major in business administration...chose Gonzaga because of the great atmosphere and sense of community along with the great baseball program.
