GAME NOTES
HOME OPENER:
- Gonzaga officially opens the 2026 season against Fordham on Aug. 20 at Luger Field.
- The Bulldogs begin the regular season at home for the first time since 2024 after opening the 2025 campaign with four consecutive road matches.
- GU went 1-2-1 over its first four matches last season, including a 1-1 draw at Utah Tech and a 1-0 victory at Incarnate Word.
- The matchup with Fordham begins a four-game homestand for the Zags, with #1 Washington, Utah Tech and Northwest also making trips to Luger Field.
A NEW ERA IN THE PAC-12:
- The 2026 season marks Gonzaga's first as a member of the Pac-12 Conference.
- Gonzaga will play eight Pac-12 conference matches - during its inaugural season in the league.
- The Zags open Pac-12 play at home against California Baptist on Sept. 30.
PAC-12 IMPACT LIST:
- The Pac-12 announced its 2026 men's soccer preseason predicted order of finish and Preseason Impact List, with Gonzaga picked fifth and three Bulldogs earning spots on the league's Preseason Impact List.
- Midfielder Dylan Cantafio, forward Drew Pedersen and goalkeeper Chema Preciado were selected to represent Gonzaga on the Preseason Impact List.
A LOOK BACK AT 2025:
- Gonzaga finished the 2025 campaign with a 5-8-3 overall record and a 2-5-2 mark in West Coast Conference play.
- The Bulldogs closed the season in impressive fashion with a 5-1 victory over LMU at Luger Field.
- Gonzaga scored 20 goals and recorded 18 assists over 16 matches last season.
- GU posted three shutout victories, defeating Incarnate Word 1-0, Oregon Tech 2-0 and Pacific 2-0.
The Bulldogs earned three of their five victories away from home.
PEDERSEN PACES THE ATTACK:
- Drew Pedersen led the Gonzaga offense in 2025 with seven goals and five assists for a team-high 19 points.
- Pedersen scored his seven goals on just 21 shots, placing 14 attempts on frame.
His five assists also led the Bulldogs.
Pedersen was one of four Zags to record at least seven points during the 2025 campaign.
FINDING THE BACK OF THE NET:
- Gonzaga scored 20 goals in 16 matches last season, averaging 1.25 goals per contest.
- Four Bulldogs scored multiple goals in 2025, led by Drew Pedersen with seven and. Morgan Olson also found the back of the net twice.
- Gonzaga's most productive offensive performance came in the season finale, when the Zags scored five times in a 5-1 victory over LMU.
HOME SWEET HOME:
- Gonzaga is scheduled to play 11 matches at Luger Field in 2026, including two exhibitions.
- The Bulldogs begin the year with six consecutive home dates, starting with exhibitions against Trinity Western and Warner Pacific.
- Gonzaga went 2-2-1 at home during the 2025 season.
