The Beavers (9-4-4, 4-1-1) scored twice in a span of just over one minute late in the first half. Wyatt Borso opened the scoring in the 34th minute off assists from Milo Wray and Oliver Hernandez Parra before adding his second goal in the 36th minute, assisted by Evan Carlock and Gavin Wolff.
Gonzaga (5-9-3, 1-5-0) looked to respond in the second half, generating three shots after the break. Jelle Van Deijck put a shot on target in the 64th minute, while Nico Golesis recorded a pair of attempts in the second half, including one on goal.
Goalkeeper Chema Preciado kept the Bulldogs within reach, finishing with eight saves, including four in each half. Oregon State held a 16-5 advantage in shots and a 10-2 edge in shots on goal.
