Prior to Gonzaga
A two time All-American while at Chaffey College, Young was recognized for the 2024 and 2025 seasons before joining the Zags for 2026. Young had a .411 career batting average during his time at Chaffey, including a .447 average in 2025. He set a new school record in four categories across his two years, putting up 23 home runs, 36 doubles, 103 RBIs and 107 runs.
