BSB: Sterling, Samperi Lead 13 on WCC All-Academic Teams

SAN MATEO, Calif. — A total of 13 Gonzaga baseball players were named to All-Academic West Coast Conference lists on Thursday, the league announced.
Samperi sports a 3.97 GPA while majoring in kinesiology, while Sterling carries a 3.81 while double-majoring in philosophy and economics.
Grayson Sterling and Ezra Samperi made the conference's All-Academic First Team, while Enzo Apodaca, Connor Coballes, Gabriel Hughes, Brody Jessee, Dylan Johnson, Shea Kramer, Stephen Lund, Jack Machtolf, Cade McGee, Bradley Mullan and Owen Wild all picked up honorable mention honors.
At the conclusion of each athletic season, the West Coast Conference selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his team.
