Zags picked to finish seventh in WCC
SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Gonzaga men's soccer player Demitrius Kigeya was named to the Preseason All-West Coast Conference Team, selected by the league's head coaches and announced Monday afternoon.
Gonzaga was also selected to finish seventh as a team in the preseason poll, while Saint Mary's was the unanimous choice to win the league.
Kigeya, from Madison, Wisc., returns for his sophomore season after earning a spot on the WCC All-Freshman Team last season. He led the Zags in scoring with eight points on four goals, while also topping the squad in shots with 32.
Kigeya is the 11th GU player selected to the preseason squad since 2009.
Gonzaga men's soccer team will have their final exhibition tune-up ahead of the 2019 season on Monday evening against Washington at Luger Field. Kick off is set for 7 p.m. The regular season begins at Tulsa on Aug. 30, and the home opener is Sept. 1 against Sacramento State at 7 p.m. at Luger Field.
