Men’s Soccer Wins Season Finale at Pacific, 2-0

Theo O’Malley scores both goals in the win
STOCKTON, Calif. — Gonzaga men's soccer wrapped up its season in style with a 2-0 win at Pacific on Saturday night in Stockton, Calif.
The win for the Zags (4-10-2, 3-3-1) moves them into third in the eight-team West Coast Conference standings for the year with 10 points. Pacific falls to 6-10-1, 3-4-0, and will wrap the year in fourth in the league. GU went 3-2-1 over its last six matches of the season, and its three conference wins are the program's most since going 3-3-1 in 2014.
Gonzaga goalkeeper and Stockton, Calif., native Johan Garibay collected his second shutout of the year with four saves in a return to his hometown.
Gonzaga got on the board right away with a goal from Theo O'Malley in the seventh minute. O'Malley got free on a pass by Isaiah Jackson for his fourth of the year. The assist was the third of the year for the senior Jackson, the second-highest total on the squad.
The GU defense was stout throughout the rest of the first half and into the second, leading to the second Gonzaga goal. O'Malley scored once again in the 59th minute for his team-leading fifth goal of the year. The score was assisted by Demitrius Kigeya, his second of the year.
Gonzaga led in total shots 13-11 and shots on goal 9-4. Pacific had two corner kicks in the game, to just one for Gonzaga.
