ON THE ROAD AGAIN:
- After a six-game homestand in which Gonzaga went 3-2-1, the Zags will hit the road for six consecutive games over the next four weeks. That slate includes the final three non-conference games.
- The road trip that includes stops in five states - Nevada (UNLV), Illinois (Bradley), Colorado (Denver), Oregon (Portland), and California (LMU and San Diego) - and the start to WCC play with Portland as the fourth of that six-game roadtrip.
- UNLV enters on a five-game win streak and marks the fifth of seven NCAA Tournament teams from last season that GU plays in 2015.
- Gonzaga is coming off a win over No. 13 Oregon State, which was the first ranked win since Sept. 22, 2013, and highest-ranked win since the Zags took down No. 1 UC-Santa Barbara to open the 2007 season.
ON THE DEFENSE:
- Gonzaga has recorded three shutouts on the season, allowed more than one goal only one time - a 2-1 overtime loss to Hartwick - and has not allowed more than one goal in regulation.
- Goalkeeper Chris Lowrimore ranks 27th in the nation in goals against average (.718), 71st in save percentage (.760) and played every minute in goal for GU to rank 15th in goalkeeper minutes (752:22).
- Lowrimore ranks No. 1 in the WCC in goals against average, second in goalkeeper minutes and third in save pct.
- Against Milwaukee, Lowrimore recorded his third shutout of the season and fifth of his career (one combined). That ranks him sixth all-time at GU in career shutouts.
ON THE OFFENSE:
- As a team, Gonzaga has outshot opponents 103-72 overall and 41-25 in shots on goal.
- Junior Jakob Granlund took over the team lead with five points (2g, 1a), and is ranked first in the WCC and 21st in the nation with two game-winning goals after scoring the eventual winner against Oregon State.
- Granlund ranks first on the team in shots on goal (12) and is second in the WCC in SOG/game (1.50).
- Sophomore Ben White recorded his second goal of the season against Milwaukee, despite spending most of his time as a defender this season. The two goals ties him for the team lead.
- As a team GU is ranked second in the WCC in shots per game (12.88) and third in SOG per game (5.13).
- Gonzaga has also gotten solid production from Conner Bevans, who has spent time on both ends of the field. He's helped lead the defense, while also ranking second on the team in shots with 15 to go along with one goal.
- Midfielder Colton Cavey has also taken on a bigger offensive role, ranking tied for fourth on the team with 11 shots.
- Sophomore Christo Michaelson notched his first-career goal against Oregon State, knocking in a 40-yarder to catch the goalkeeper out of position.
HEAD COACH Einar Thorarinsson:
- GU is in its 21st season under head coach Einar Thorarinsson, who has 146 victories at GU - most in program history - and two NCAA Tournament appearances (2001, 2007).
