Men's Soccer Recognized Nationally By NSCAA For Academics

SPOKANE, Wash. - The Gonzaga University men's soccer team has been honored by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America for academic excellence for the 11th straight season.
A total of 874 soccer teams - 274 men and 600 women - posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2012-13 academic year. Gonzaga's men posted a 3.11 GPA.
The Bulldogs are tied for sixth for the most current consecutive years being honored. Colby College and the University of Pennsylvania had been recognized each of the past 13 years; Northwestern University, the University of Rochester and Valparaiso University have a string of 12 years, and Gonzaga is tied with Grinnell College at 11 years.
