Phillips, Owenson WCC Men's Soccer All-Academic First Team

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Senior Andrew Owenson and junior Clark Phillips have been named to the All-West Coast Conference All-Academic Men's Soccer first team, while senior Ryan Caballero earned honorable mention honors, WCC Commissioner Jamie Zaninovich announced.
Owenson, a defender from Sonoma, Calif., has a 3.41 grade-point-average in mechanical engineer. He was a 2011 WCC All-Academic honorable mention selection. Phillips, a forward from Portland, Ore., has a 3.48 GPA in business. He was a WCC All-Academic honorable mention pick last season. Caballero, a goalkeeper from Sunnyvale, Calif., has a 3.20 GPA in history and was an All-WCC honorable mention honoree last season.
Gonzaga ended the season 10-6-3 overall, 5-4-3 and third place in the WCC. The 10 wins are the first double-digit win total for the Zags since 2000 and the third-place finish is the highest for the Bulldogs since 2008.
