Perdido Named To All-Far West Region Third Team

KANSAS CITY, Kans. - Gonzaga University junior forward Tye Perdido has been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Far West All-Region Third Team.
He was one of four West Coast Conference players honored. Conor Chinn of the University of San Francisco earned second-team honors while Babajide Ogunbiyi of Santa Clara University and Rafa Bacca of Loyola Marymount University were also named to the third team.
Perdido paced the Bulldogs in goals (8) and points (19) this past season as the Bulldogs went 9-8-2 overall and went into the final weekend of WCC play with a NCAA Tournament berth on the line.
The native of Kula, Hawai'i, was named to the All-WCC first team this season after being an honorable mention pick a year ago. He started all 19 matches and helped the Bulldogs win nine matches for a third straight season. His 15 career goals tie for eighth on the all-time Gonzaga charts and his 37 career points tie for ninth. He was also on the 2006 WCC All-Freshman team.
