SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University sophomore men's soccer forward George Josten has been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/adidas Far West All-Regional third team.
Josten, who was an All-West Coast Conference first-team pick this past season, led the WCC in goals with 12 and points with 29. He was the first Bulldog since Jeff McAllister in 1997 to lead the conference in both categories. His 17 career goals rank tied for fifth and his 40 career points are seventh all-time on the Gonzaga charts.
The native of Idaho Falls, Idaho, was an integral part of taking the Bulldogs to the final day of the WCC regular season, the Bulldogs needing a win to capture the WCC crown. Gonzaga finished 7-9-4 overall, 5-5-2 in the WCC.
