Gold Named To NECBL All-Star Team

RINDGE, NH - Nate Gold, a junior first baseman on the Gonzaga University baseball team, has been named to the 2001 All-National Division Team for the New England Collegiate Baseball League. Gold will also represent the National Division in the NECBL All-Star game on July 28 at Keene, NH. The Centerville, UT native, currently ranks tenth in the NECBL with a .318 average while ranking third with 23 RBI's and fourth with a .558 slugging percentage. For the season Gold has helped guide the Torrington (CT) Twisters to a 19-7 record and first-place standing in the National Division.
