SPOKANE, Wash. — Gonzaga baseball's Tommy Eisenstat, Garrett Gores, Finbar O'Brien, and Sam Stem were named to College Sports Communicators' Academic All-District Team for 2025, the outlet announced on Tuesday.

Eisenstat picks up his second consecutive nod after making the Academic All-District team last spring. Throughout his career, Eisenstat has also been tabbed WCC All-Academic first team in two seasons. The senior from Menlo Park, Calif., owns a 3.80 cumulative GPA as he pursues a degree in Environmental Studies. Across three seasons with the Bulldogs, Eisenstat has batted .272 with 12 home runs and 84 runs batted in, leading the team in five major offensive categories in 2024 ahead of an All-WCC Honorable Mention.

Gores earns his first Academic All-District honor with a 3.53 cumulative GPA while studying Kinesiology. This spring, Gores collected a 6.29 ERA with 42 strikeouts across 44.1 innings of work. After a pair of strong midweek starts, Gores earned a spot as a high-leverage arm in the Bulldog bullpen, with his 19 appearances ranking third among GU relievers. He was also named WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention on May 19.

O'Brien was tabbed Academic All-District for the first time on Tuesday, coming on the heels of a First Team All-WCC nod as Gonzaga's Friday starter in 2025. Also a WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention, O'Brien was 6-1 on the season with a 5.78 ERA and a team-high 83 strikeouts across 71.2 innings. His lone loss came in the final game of the season, finishing a perfect 4-0 in WCC play. He owns a 3.58 GPA and is studying Biology.

Stem, a third-year veteran with the Zags, picks up his first Academic All-District honor after earning WCC All-Academic Honorable mention just two weeks ago. A career .245 hitter, Stem came up clutch for the Bulldogs in late-game wins over Pepperdine and LMU in 2025, heating up at the plate near the end of the season. The former WCC All-Freshman honoree, Stem touts a 3.70 GPA while studying Kinesiology.

The 2025 Academic All-District® Baseball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 1.
