Zags look for 59th straight home win

THE TIP OFF
- After a seven-day break with no games for the holidays, No. 4/4 Gonzaga hosts North Alabama Tuesday at 2. It's the second meeting between the programs, and the final tune-up for the Zags before conference play.
- The Bulldogs have played five ranked opponents already this season, which leads the nation, and four teams currently ranked inside the Top-20. GU has beat three ranked teams by double-digits, which also tops Div. 1.
- The Bulldogs are coming off a 95-49 victory over Northern Arizona in Spokane on Dec. 21. Chet Holmgren led all scorers with 20 points, nine rebounds and three blocks. He also went 3-of-5 from behind-the-arc. GU forced 20 turnovers, while only committing five.
- The Zags appear in the Associated Press poll for the 103rd consecutive ranking, the longest current streak in the nation, with Villanova second at 47. Gonzaga is the only program in the country to appear in every AP poll since 2017, with a No. 5 average ranking. Since 2017, the Bulldogs have been in the Top 5 for a national-best 67 polls (65 percent of the 103 rankings). Kansas is second appearing in the Top 5 in 62 polls.
- GU is second in the nation in field goal percentage (52.4), is fifth in defensive rebounds (30.9), sixth in scoring margin (22.5) and rebound margin (11.2), eighth in scoring offense (85.0), and 14th in assists per game (17.7).
- Chet Holmgren is fifth in the country with 45 blocks and averaging 3.75 per game and seventh shooting 77 percent from inside-the-arc. Holmgren is 17th in the nation shooting 62.5 percent from the field. Holmgren currently leads the WCC in rebounds (8.5) and blocks (3.75) per game.
- The Zags are second in KenPom's rankings in offensive efficiency with the 13th-most efficient defense.
- It's been 11 seasons since the Bulldogs entered WCC action with more than three losses (10-5 in 2010-11).

- North Alabama, located in Florence, Ala., is in its fourth season transitioning from Div. 2 to Div. 1.
- The Lions were picked ninth by coaches and media in the Atlantic Sun Conference's preseason poll.
- UNA fell in its last game at Central Florida, 75-64, on Dec. 22. Jamari Blackmon led the Lions with 17 points and five assists. Dallas Howell added 12 points.
- Daniel Ortiz leads the Lions averaging 10.6 points per game off the bench in only 18.5 minutes per game. He's made 22 three-pointers this season at 46.8 percent.
- Damian Forrest is grabbing a team-high 6.3 rebounds per outing, while Jamari Blackmon has dished out 36 assists.
