Experienced guard averaged 10.9 points and 4.9 assists for Cholet Basket
SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga men's basketball head coach Mark Few announced the addition of Nathan De Sousa, an experienced guard from France, for the 2026-27 season.

De Sousa, a 6-2 guard, brings international experience after spending the past five seasons with Cholet Basket in France's LNB Elite league.

During the 2025-26 season with Cholet, De Sousa averaged a career-high 10.9 points, 4.9 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game while appearing in 36 LNB Elite contests. He shot 43.4 percent from the field, 36.1 percent from three-point range and 76.9 percent from the free-throw line.

De Sousa also appeared in nine Basketball Champions League games during the 2025-26 season, averaging 8.3 points, 4.7 assists and 2.0 rebounds per game.

A product of France's youth basketball system, De Sousa has helped France capture gold at the 2023 FIBA U20 EuroBasket, averaging 7.1 points, 2.0 assists and 1.0 rebounds per game. He also played for France at the 2019 FIBA U16 EuroBasket, helping the team earn a silver medal.
