THE TOURNAMENT:
- The 54-hole, two-day event features 18 teams. The golfers will play 36 holes on Saturday and 18 on Sunday to finish.
GONZAGA 6TH AT THE DR. DONNIS THOMPSON INVITE
- Jessica Mangrobang placed in the top 10 to lead the Zags to a sixth-place team finish at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational in Kane'Ohe, Oahu, Hawai'i.
- Playing the Par-72, Kane'Ohe Klipper Golf Course, Gonzaga finished with two players in the top 20 overall and held their team spot from each of the first two rounds with a final round 305 (+17) as a team.
- Mangrobang was the model of consistency in her week, adding a final-round 75 (+3) after shooting a pair of 74s on the first day to place in a tie for ninth overall.
- Freshman Federica Torre posted the Zags' best score of the second day with a two-over 74, two shots better than either of her first two rounds to place tied for 28th overall.
- Freshman Quynn Duong had the second-best finish, coming in with a tie for 18th, after firing a final-round 79 (+7).
ZAGS GROW AT THE GOLD RUSH
- GU finished seventh as a team at The Gold Rush in late February, moving up from 12th after the first round.
- In just her second collegiate tournament, Federica Torre placed 13th (+4) to lead a trio of Zags in the Top 20.
- Jessica Mangrobang was 18th (+6) and Quynn Duong was 19th (+7).
SPRING OPENS AT BATTLE AT THE ROCK
- At the spring opening Battle at the Rock, Francesca Santoni fired a career-best, three-under 69 to finish tied for fifth and lead GU to fourth as a team. It was her first-career Top 5.
- Freshman Quynn Duong placed 12th overall, and freshman Federica Torre was 21st overall in her first career tournament.
GU TO HOST WCC CHAMPIONSHIPS
- Gonzaga will host the 2019 West Coast Conference Championships at Manito Golf & Country Club in Spokane on April 18-20.
FALL RECAP:
- As a team, Gonzaga had a pair of sixth-place finishes in the fall season. Those came at the Battle at Old Works in Anaconda, Montana, and the Pat Bradley Invitational in Florida.
- Gonzaga freshman Quynn Duong placed in the top 20 four times in four tournaments, including second-place finishes at the Battle at Old Works and the Pat Bradley Invitational, and a third-place finish at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational in Tacoma, Wash.
- Duong led the Zags with a 72.33 stroke average in the fall season.
- Francesca Santoni was next-best on the squad with a 75.33 stroke average and one top 10 finish, a ninth-place showing at the Battle at Old Works.
- Jessica Mangrobang was at a 76.92 stroke average for the fall season.
NEW ADDITION
- Gonzaga added freshman Federica Torre at the semester break, and she competed in her first collegiate tournament at the Battle at the Rock.
- Torre, a native of Ronco Scrivia, Italy, has a number of victories in her career, including two in 2018. She won the 64th Women's and Men's City of Rome Golden Cup in Rome in early April, and then in August, she hoisted the trophy after winning the 23rd Grand Prix "City of Cervia" by nine strokes.

- The Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational is the third of four tournaments leading up to the West Coast Conference Championships on April 18-20.
- GU's final tuneup before the conference tournament is the Red Rocks Invitational, hosted by Northern Arizona on March 23-24 in Sedona, Arizona.
