Yoo ties for 13th at three-over; Benoit ties for 15th at four-over
SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga women's golf placed eighth at the Kalispel Invitational Tuesday, led by 13th and 15th place finishes from Esther Yoo and Islay Benoit. The tournament, hosted by Eastern Washington at the Kalispel Country Club, was a 54-hole event over two days.

Yoo was three-over (219), while Benoit was four-over (220). Yoo's 3.92 (-2) average over the course's Par-4 holes matched the second lowest in the 81-golfer field. Benoit's 39 made pars matched the fifth-most in the event.

In the second round, Yoo was one-under (71) in the second round, making four birdies and 12 pars, and Benoit was even-par (72) with a birdie and 16 pars. The Bulldogs were one-under (287) as a team in Round 2.

Vanessa Zhang (+11, 227) and Mariko Yonemura (+12, 228) tied for 38th and 41st respectively. Zhang carded a 70 (-2) in the second round, the team's lowest round in the tournament. Brenna Preap tied for 68th at 20-over (236).

Anna Duerr (+22, 238) and Ashlee Xu (+28, 244) finished in 70th and 77th as individuals.

Leia Chung led Boise State to a team title with her medalist finish. She was four-under (212), while Emilia Schneider of Sacramento State was second at two-under (214). Grand Canyon placed second as a team at 11-over (875).
