Women’s Soccer Hosts Santa Clara Saturday

- Gonzaga hosts Santa Clara Saturday at 7 p.m.
- The Zags have captured their third-straight 10-win season. Gonzaga had four consecutive double-digit win seasons from 2003 to 2006. GU now has seven double-digit win seasons in program history.

- Last week, the Bulldogs received a vote in the national poll. It the first time the program has appeared in the national rankings since receiving votes in 2005.

SCOUTING THE BRONCOS:
- Santa Clara is coming off of a 4-3 comeback win over Pepperdine Wednesday. SCU trailed 3-0 in the game.
- The Broncos are unbeaten in their last seven games, with two ties, including a 2-2 draw with No. 4 BYU.
- Wednesday, Santa Clara outshot Pepperdine, 16-12, with an 11-10 edge in shots on goal.
- Kelcie Hedge had a goal and an assist for the Broncos. Julie Doyle converted on a penalty kick for SCU, and Izzy D'Aquila and Kelsey Turnbow scored their 11th and 10th goals of the season.
- D'Aquila scored the game-winner in the 76th minute. All four SCU goals came within a 15-minute span.
- Courtney Ogren made seven saves in the Santa Clara net. She has a 1.43 goals against average and a .738 save percentage, with 59 saves this season.
- Hedge and Machaela George lead SCU with six assists.

JENCKS TIES PROGRAM RECORD:
- India Jencks was credited with her seventh assist this season in the draw with San Francisco.
- She is tied for the most assists in a single season in program history with four other Zags.

WATKINS HITS WIN NO. 30:
- Wednesday, Chris Watkins captured his 30th win as a head coach at Gonzaga. He is now the fastest head coach to 30 wins in program history.

LOOKING AHEAD ... at SAINT MARY'S:
- Gonzaga travels to Saint Mary's Saturday at 2 p.m.
- The Gaels own the all-time series, 12-11-3, including 6-4-3 in the matchups in Moraga.
- The Zags last won in Moraga in 2013, 2-1 in double overtime. GU won last year's meeting, 3-0, in Spokane.
