Women’s Soccer Heads to Malibu Saturday

QUICK KICKS:
- Gonzaga travels to Pepperdine Saturday at 1 p.m.
- Last season, the Zags played to a scoreless draw with No. 25 Pepperdine in Spokane.
- GU is unbeaten after its first three conference games for only the second time in program history. The Bulldogs open WCC play 3-0-0 in 2014. Gonzaga has never been unbeaten after four league contests.

SCOUTING THE WAVES:
- Pepperdine is coming off of a 1-0 double-overtime win at its cross-town rival Loyola Marymount.
- The Waves' Trinity Watson scored the game-winner on a shot from 30 yards out in the 105th minute.
- Pepperdine outshot LMU, 19-8, with a 7-2 advantage in shots on goal. Joelle Anderson took seven shots for the Waves, placing two on frame.
- Kinsey Ehmann made two saves in the Waves' net.
- Leyla McFarland has a team-high eight points this season on two goals and four assists. Three Pepperdine players have totaled seven points.
- Nine different Waves' players have scored a goal.
- Ehmann has 39 saves this season, with a .750 save percentage. Her goals' against average is 1.26.
- The Waves are currently fifth in the United Soccer Coaches West Region rankings, while GU is third.

ZAGS APPEAR IN RANKINGS:
- The Bulldogs are third in the United Soccer Coaches' West Region poll, the best ranking in program history.
- GU received a vote in the national poll Tuesday. It's the first time the program has appeared in the national rankings since receiving votes in the final poll in 2005.

JENCKS TIES PROGRAM RECORD:
- India Jencks was credited with her seventh assist this season in the draw with San Francisco.
- She is tied for the most assists in a single season in program history with four other Zags.

LOOKING AHEAD ... at LOYOLA MARYMOUNT:
- Gonzaga visits Loyola Marymount next Wednesday.
- The Lions own the all-time series, 18-6-3, including 10-2-2 in the matchups in Los Angeles.
