Wagstaff repeats as Pac-12’s Offensive Player of the Week

SAN RAMON, Calif. – Gonzaga Volleyball's Claire Wagstaff was named the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week for the second week in a row, the conference announced Tuesday.
Wagstaff started the first weekend of conference play with 48.5 points across eight sets, averaging a Pac-12 leading 6.06 points per set. She had 40 kills (an average of five per set) with an additional three aces. Wagstaff also had a solo block and nine block assists while adding another 16 digs across the two matches.
The outside hitter had 22 kills in four sets against Boise State and another 18 kills in four sets against Utah State. These are the two highest kills by a player in a four set match in conference play so far this season. Wagstaff currently leads the Pac-12 in points in conference play, finishing the week with 16.5 more points and 12 more kills in Pac-12 play than any other player in the conference.
Claire Wagstaff is the only Pac-12 Volleyball player to have been named Offensive Player of The Week twice this season. She will return to the court alongside the rest of the Zags when they play their first ever home Pac-12 match, hosting Colorado State on Thursday in the Charlotte Y. Martin Centre.
