Claire Wagstaff named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week

SAN RAMON, Calif. – Gonzaga Volleyball's Claire Wagstaff was named the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.
Wagstaff had 55 points on the weekend across 10 sets, averaging a conference leading 5.5 points per set. She had 44 kills on a .255 hitting percentage while adding 7 aces. Wagstaff also had a solo block and six block assists to round out her scoring, while contributing 27 digs on the defensive end over the weekend.
Wagstaff had 20 points (17 kills, two aces and two block assists) in a sweep of Montana on Saturday, the most points by a Zag in a three set match since 2019. Â She also had 24.5 points (19 kills, 4 aces, three block assists) in the four set win over Seattle on Thursday, the third highest total of any Pac-12 player in a four set match this season.
Claire Wagstaff is currently second in the Pac-12 in total points (213.5), points per set (4.74), aces (22), kills (171) and kills per set (3.8) after the first month of the season. She will return to the court on Thursday when the Zags play their first ever Pac-12 Volleyball game when they open conference play at Boise State.
