SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga's Braeden Smith was named a CSC Academic All-District selection, as announced Tuesday by College Sports Communicators (CSC).
Smith is a Philosophy major with a 3.56 grade point average. He was recently named Honorable Mention Academic All-West Coast Conference.
Smith appeared in all 35 games, starting 18, averaging 3.6 assists per game. He led the WCC, and ranked 13th in the nation, with a 3.34 assist-to-turnover ratio.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District recognition, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore and possess a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher. In addition, individuals must have appeared in 90 percent of a team's games and/or started 66 percent of them.
