Few Earns 700th Career Win with 86-61 Victory at Pepperdine

MALIBU, Calif. — Graham Ike scored 24 points and Gonzaga completed a season sweep over Pepperdine with an 86-61 victory on Thursday night.
The win was number 700 for GU Head Coach Mark Few in his career. He became the second-fastest coach to 700 wins in NCAA Div. 1 history (700-140), only behind Kentucky's Adolph Rupp (700-136).
Ike made 11 of 17 shots and added seven rebounds for the Bulldogs (12-5, 3-1 West Coast Conference). Nolan Hickman was 7 of 16 shooting, including 3 for 10 from 3-point range, and went 2 for 3 from the line to add 19 points. Anton Watson went 7 of 10 from the field to finish with 16 points, adding eight rebounds.
Ben Gregg got his first start of the season and grabbed 10 rebounds, eight in the first half, to go with five points and four assists. Ryan Nembhard dished out eight assists with no turnovers.
The Waves (9-11, 2-3) were led in scoring by Jevon Porter, who finished with 16 points and two steals. Houston Mallette added nine points for Pepperdine. In addition, Nils Cooper had seven points.
Led by 12 points from Hickman before the break, Gonzaga entered halftime tied with Pepperdine 40-40. Gonzaga pulled away with a 17-1 run in the second half to extend a four-point lead to 20 points. Ike scored 13 after intermission.
The Zags travel to San Diego (10-9, 0-4) Saturday for a 7 p.m. tipoff at Jenny Craig Pavilion.
