UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. – Gonzaga women's golf is through two rounds of the Chamber's Bay Invite. The tournament is a two-day event with two rounds of 18-holes slated for Monday and the final round of 18-holes on Tuesday. Hosted by Seattle University, 106 golfers from 18 schools will compete over the two days.
The Bulldogs are in 14th place at 47-over (623) heading into the final round of play on Tuesday. In Monday's rounds, GU combined to shoot 21-over (309) in the morning round and 26-over (314) in the afternoon round, accumulating 99 pars and 11 birdies along the way.
Cassie Kim is in a tie for 41st at ten-over (154). In her first two rounds, Kim turned in scores of six-over (78) and four-over (76), making 22 pars and two birdies.
Quynn Duong and Chaewon Baek are tied for 50th at 12-over par (156). Duong carded scores of eight-over (80) and four-over (76) in the first and second rounds, tallying 21 pars and two birdies. Baek matched those scores in opposing rounds, shooting four-over (76) in Round 1 and eight-over (80) in Round 2 and making 19 pars and three birdies.
Ivanna Montemayor is in a tie for 70th at 15-over (159), shooting five-over (77) and ten-over (82) on the day. Kaysa Panke is tied for 89th at 19-over (163) after turning in scores of six-over (78) and 13-over (82).
UCLA's Emma Spitz holds the lead on the individual leaderboard heading into the final round on Tuesday, combining to shoot six-under (138) on the day. UCLA also leads as a team at one-under (575) with three golfers in the top ten on the individual leaderboard.
