Fratt Advances To Consolation Final

CHENEY, Wash. - Gonzaga University's men's tennis' Cooper Fratt advanced to the finals of the men's consolation final Saturday during the second day of the Red Lion Invitational hosted by Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Wash.
Participating in the three-day invitational is Eastern Washington, Gonzaga, University of Idaho, Lewis and Clark State College, University of Portland and Whitworth College.
In the main draw, Bryce Cooper defeated Idaho's Anthony Karlovic (6-4, 6-7 (4), 6-4) in the round of 16, before falling in three sets to Montana's Stuart Wing (6-4, 2-6, 6-3). Also competing Saturday was Gonzaga's Roman Dojack and Marco Pineda.
In doubles play, Gonzaga's duo of Cooper and Brett Womack fell in the quarterfinals in to Portland's Scott Kennel and Carlos Machado (8-6).
Fratt will compete in the consolation round finals Sunday in the final day of the three-day tournament. Play is scheduled to resume at 9 a.m. in Cheney.
