Pineda Advances to Round of 16 At Bronco Invitational

Santa Clara, Calif. - Marco Pineda of the Gonzaga University men's tennis team advanced to the round of 16 Friday at the Bronco Invitational hosted by Santa Clara University.
In singles play, Pineda earned two wins to advance to the round of 16 of the main draw on Saturday. Pineda earned victories over Nevada's Orion (6-1, 6-1) and UC Davis' Thomas (7-6(5), 6-4) to advance on to the quarterfinals.
Also competing in singles play was Charles Adams, Bryce Cooper, Cooper Fratt, Roman Dojacak, Zach Radetzky and Brett Womak.
Gonzaga was unable to advance in the main doubles draw, falling in all double matches that it competed in.
