Gonzaga Women's Soccer Announces 2000 Schedule

SPOKANE, Wash. - The Gonzaga University women's soccer team released its schedule for the 2000 fall season including three games against teams from last years NCAA tournament field. Gonzaga will start the season on August 25 at the University of Montana, a NCAA tournament team last season. The August 25 start date is the earliest in Gonzaga women's soccer history. Following the opening trip to Missoula, the Zags are home for the first of seven home contests when they play host to West Coast Conference rival Portland on September 1.
Following a road non-conference road schedule that includes games at PAC-10 schools, Oregon State, Washington State and Washington, Gonzaga ends its season with six conference games and a home match against the University of Idaho. The Zags travel to Santa Clara and San Diego for conference matches against last year's top two WCC teams. Gonzaga ends its season with three home games against Loyola Marymount, Pepperdine and Idaho on November 5.
