Gonzaga University Athletics

Graduation Success Rate (GSR)

One of Gonzaga University Athletics' main commitments is to ensure we are supporting all of our student-athletes towards graduating and earning his or her bachelor's degree. Created in 2002 by the NCAA Division I Board of Directors, the Graduation Success Rate (GSR) is a more accurate way to track the graduation rates of student-athletes, taking into account students transferring from one university to another, which the Federal Graduation Rate does not account for.

Based on data released in December 2024, Gonzaga student-athletes are graduating at a rate of 96 percent. This includes 10 GU teams that achieved a 100 percent graduation success rate: Baseball, Men's Cross Country and Track, Men's Golf, Men's Soccer, Men's Tennis, Volleyball, Women's Cross Country and Track, Women's Golf, Women's Soccer, and Women's Tennis.

For comparison, the NCAA GSR average is 91 percent, while the West Coast Conference is at 95 percent.
