Yonemura Claims Kauai Amateur Title

Zag sophomore won the Maui Amateur in July
SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga women's golf Mariko Yonemura added another impressive summer accomplishment to her résumé, winning the Kauai Amateur at Wailua Golf Course on Sunday.
An upcoming sophomore for the Bulldogs, Yonemura carded rounds of 71-71-70 to finish the 54-hole championship at 4-under-par 212, capturing the women's title by two strokes. She closed the tournament with a final-round 70, highlighted by a 3-under-par back nine.
The victory continues a standout summer for Yonemura, who also claimed the Maui Amateur women's championship in July before adding the Kauai Amateur title just three weeks later.
Yonemura and the Bulldogs will begin the 2026-27 season at the Leadership and Golf Invitational on Sept. 14.
