Women’s Cross Country Releases 2025 Schedule

Zags will host WCC Championship in Spokane on Nov. 1

SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga women's Cross Country Head Coach Jake Stewart announced the Bulldogs' 2025 schedule. The Bulldogs will take on five regular season meets in the lead up to the West Coast Conference Championships, which GU will host on Nov. 1 in Spokane.

Gonzaga women won the WCC conference championship last year, placing four runners in the top ten in the conference. The Bulldogs look to build on their 25th overall team finish at the NCAA national championship.

The fall slate will open at the Clash of the Inland Northwest for the 15th consecutive season on Eastern Washington's Cheney campus Aug. 29. The Gonzaga women swept the field on their way to a victory last year, taking all five top spots on the podium to finish in 15 points, the best possible score in the meet.

The Zags will then take on the Lakefront Invitational in Chicago, Ill. The Zags will follow up this trip by competing against several of top teams in the country at the Nuttycombe Invitaional on Oct. 14 in Madison, Wis. The team has competed in each of the last five Nuttycombe races, finishing eighth as a team last year.

Wrapping up the regular season is the Sasquatch Invite on Oct. 24, a local meet hosted by the Community Colleges of Spokane at the Spokane Polo Club. Gonzaga women took first place last year, including having three of the top four finishers.

The 2025 West Coast Conference Championships will make their way to the Pacific Northwest for the first time since 2015. Gonzaga will host the championship meet on Nov. 1 at the brand-new Spokane Valley Cross Country Course, where the women will look to repeat their conference championship.

On Nov. 14, the NCAA West Regional Championships return to Sacramento and will be hosted by Sacramento State for the third time since 2021. GU placed fourth overall in the West last year. The Bulldogs will aim to punch their ticket to return to the NCAA Championships, which are slated for Nov. 22 back at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia, Mo.
