
Lee Places Third at WCC Championships

Baek tied for seventh and Zags were fourth
BREMERTON, Wash. – Gonzaga's Grace Lee finished third place at the 2024 West Coast Championships Sunday. The annual event was played at the Gold Mountain Olympic Course.
Lee was three-over (219) in the 54-hole tournament. She opened with a 73 (+1) in the first round, before carding a 71 (-1) in Round 2, and a 75 (+3) in the final round. The sophomore was second in the 20-golfer field averaging 3.93 (-2) on the course's Par-4 holes. She was third with 10 birdies.
The Bulldogs were fourth as a team at 41-over (905). GU's second round total of 295 (+7) was the team's lowest of the tournament. The Zags were 16-over (3.27) on Par-3 holes, which was the lowest in the event.
Carys Baek tied for seventh at seven-over (223). Her lowest round of 72 (E) was in the second round, before a 74 (+2) in Round 3. The Langley, B.C., native, made 37 pars in the tournament, the third-most in the field.
Taylor Mularski was 16th at 17-over (233). She carded a 73 (+1) on the final day. Esther Yoo and Darby Rickel tied for 18th at 20-over (236).
Pepperdine won the team title after placing three golfers in the Top-5, led by Lauren Gomez's medalist finish at three-under (213). The Waves' Lion Higo was second at even-par (216).
Pepperdine was first at 15-over (879), while San Francisco placed second at 26-over (890).
