Baek ties for 16th at 15-over
HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Gonzaga women's golf finished in 12th place at the Low Country Invitational hosted by Wofford College at Moss Creek Golf Club Sunday.
The Bulldogs were 87-over (951) as a team. GU had 18 birdies in the tournament, the sixth-most in the 16-team field. Gonzaga's lowest round was Saturday's second round at 25-over (313).
Carys Baek led the Zags with a 16th place finish at 15-over (231). She opened the event with a 77 (+5), before a 75 (+3) in Round 2, and a 79 (+7) final round. Baek made five birdies and went one-over (5.08) on the course's Par-5 holes, which ranked fourth in the 90-golfer field.
Grace Lee tied for 24th at 17-over (233). She also finished the tournament with five birdies. Lee's lowest round was on Sunday with a 77 (+5).
Darby Rickel tied for 47th at 25-over (241). She was even-par (3.00) on the course's Par-3 holes, which ranked third in the tournament.
Esther Yoo was 70th (+33, 249), while Vanessa Zhang (+41, 257) tied for 81st. Taylor Mularski, playing as an individual, placed 83rd (+46, 262).
Hannah Lydic of Richmond took medalist honors at five-over (221). East Tennessee State's Brianna Castaldi and Samford's Gabi Nicastro tied for second at six-over (222).
ETSU held off Richmond for the team title. East Tennessee State was 38-over (902) as a team, while Richmond was 43-over (907).
