
Duong Places 10th in Hawaii

Zags finish 10th as a team
EWA BEACH, Hawaii – Gonzaga women's golf completed their final round of the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational at Hoakalei Country Club on the island of Oahu. The Bulldogs finished in 10th place at 78-over (942) as a team.
Quynn Duong jumped up six spots on the individual leaderboard in Round 3, shooting one-under (71) on the day. She was one of two golfers in the 57-player field to shoot under par on Tuesday. Duong finished in 10th place at six-over (222) and combined to make the most pars of any individual with 41. Her performance on the course's par 3 holes led all others, averaging 2.83 strokes per hole, and was highlighted by a hole-in-one at the 149-yard 12th hole. There were seven eagles recorded throughout the tournament, however Duong's was the lone ace.
Cassie Kim rose six spots to finish in a tie for 37th at 17-over (233). In the final round, she shot three-over (75) and made 13 pars and one birdie along the way, totaling 38 and two for the tournament. Chaewon Baek started and finished the day in a tie for 46th after shooting six-over (78) in the final round. She combined for 33 pars and four birdies overall.
Alyssa Nguyen finished in 50th at 26-over (242), Kaysa Panke finished in 51st at 28-over (244), and Mary Scott Wolfe finished in 57th at 49-over (265).
California Baptist's Jocelyn Chee Yi Min won the individual title at one-over (217), edging Sacramento State's Tess Blair (+2, 218) by one stroke. Sacramento State took home the team title, combining to shoot 21-over (885).
Gonzaga will head to Macon, Georgia next for the Brickyard Collegiate on April 4-5. The two-day tournament will be played at Brickyard Country Club and will be hosted by Mercer. Live scoring will be available at GoZags.com.
