SPOKANE, Wash. — Gonzaga women's golf head coach Brad Rickel announced the signing of Taylor Mularksi to a National Letters of Intent.
Taylor Mularski | Spokane, Wash. | Mead High School
Mularski has played four years of golf at Mead. She was named the Greater Spokane League MVP and was the 2021 Spokane Area High School Championship Champion. In 2019, she was named Second Team All-GSL, after guiding Mead to a second-place team finish at the WIAA 4A Championship. Mularski boasts a 4.0 grade point average and is a member of the National Honors Society. She would like to major in Psychology.
Mularski on choosing Gonzaga:
"I chose Gonzaga because it felt like where I belonged. I always said I would get as far away from Spokane as possible, but when I visited Gonzaga, the university became a place I could call home. My relatives and teachers always spoke highly of Gonzaga as an academic institution, further convincing me that Gonzaga is where I should spend the next four years of my life. The coaches felt like they really wanted me, and I became convinced that I would be at home if I went to Gonzaga."
Rickel on signing Mularski:
"I am so excited for Taylor to join us. Her potential is so great. Taylor is a diamond in the rough who has grown leaps and bounds over the last couple of years. She has a passion for golf that is so important at this level. We feel lucky to have her as we know she is going to continue to get better and her future is so bright. We know she will add to Gonzaga in all ways and be a huge part of our team for the next four years."
"Both Taylor and Grace (Lee) come from amazing and supportive families, and I feel like they will not only add great things to the golf program, but to the entire Gonzaga community," Rickel said.
