FAIRFAX, Calif. – Gonzaga's Quynn Duong led the way for the women's golf team on the first day at the Juli Inkster Meadow Club Invitational on Monday in Fairfax, Calif.
Playing the Par-72 Meadow Club, Duong followed an opening round 73 (+1) with an even-par 72 to complete 36 holes of the 54-hole tournament. She's in a tie for eighth overall, while the team sits in 13th.
In her second round, Duong had five birdies, but also made five bogeys for her even-par round. Federica Torre opened with a 74 (+2) in the first round, but followed up with an 80 to sit in a tie for 47th.
Cassie Kim and Jessica Mangrobang each had a round of 77 (+5) on the day with Kim's coming in the first 18 and Mangrobang's coming in the second 18 holes. Kim is in a tie for 56th on the day, while Mangrobang is in a tie for 58th.
The Zags will be back out on the course at the Meadow Club on Tuesday for the final 18 holes with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Links to live scoring will be available at GoZags.com.
