Senior-to-be claimed McCormick Woods Amateur title
PORT ORCHARD, Wash. -- Gonzaga women's golfer Jessica Mangrobang claimed an amateur championship over the weekend, winning the Inauguaral McCormick Woods Amateur at the McCormick Woods Golf Course in Port Orchard, Wash.
The GU senior-to-be won the tournament by 10 strokes, firing a 36-hole five-over total. Mangrobang opened with a 76 on Day One and then followed that up with a final-round 73 to keep her distance on the field. She had three birdies in each round and finished with an even-par 36 over her final nine holes of the tournament.
