Guermali and Manley Run New Top-10 Marks

STANFORD, Calif. — Claire Manley and Yacine Guermali ran new program Top-10 5,000-meter times at the Cardinal Classic Friday.

Guermali ran the fourth-fastest 5K time in men's program history. He placed fifth with a time of 14:02.64. His time currently ranks 15th in the West Region.

Manley was second in the women's 5,000 meters at 16:36.35. Her time ranks sixth on the GU all-time list. That time is currently 40th in the West Region.

The Top-48 times in each respective event qualify for the NCAA West Preliminary Round in Sacramento, Calif., May 23-25.
