"Unfortunately we didn't strike the ball particularly well which resulted in a lot of bogeys, in addition to our bad start," GU Head Coach Robert Gray said. "Like the first round, hole locations required precise shot-making in order to get the ball near the hole and many were near ridges that took the ball quite away from the hole if you mishit the approach. Despite our result, we had a great attitude with the difficult set up today.
"Zach and Brentt posted their best finishes thus far in their young collegiate careers."
Oregon State's Carson Barry led the Beavers to the team title. Barry took medalist honors at 11-under (202). He was four-under (71) Tuesday. San Francisco's Matthew Anderson was second at five-under (208).
The Beavers cruised to the team title by 19 strokes. OSU was the lone team to finish under par at 18-under (834). USF was second at one-over (853).
The Zags return to the annual Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate Nov. 1-3. The tournament takes place once again on the Royal Ka'anapali Course in Lahaina, Hawaii. Live scoring will be available on GoZags.com.
