Incoming Freshman Uy Fifth In Callaway Junior Worlds

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Gonzaga University incoming freshman Lou Daniella (Dania) Uy (pronounced Oo-E) is in fifth place heading into Friday's final round of the Callaway Junior World Championships at Torrey Pines Golf Course - North Course.
The native of Antipolo, Philippines, has a 54-hole score of 4-under par 212 over the par 72, 6,229-yard layout. She has rounds of 71-69-72. Benyapa Niphatsophon of Thailand and Minami Hiruta of Japan share the 54-hole lead at 9-under par 207. Jarayee Boonchant of Thailand and Gigi Stoll of Beaverton, Ore., are tied for third at 7-under par 209.
Uy, who finished second in this tournament a year ago, is currently ranked 33rd on the Junior Golf Scoreboard, 42nd in the American Junior Golf Association Polo Rankings, 55th by Golfweek and 60th in the latest World Junior Golf Rankings.
