O'Regan Wins 5000 Meters At Al Manuel Invitational

MISSOULA, Mont. - Gonzaga University's Brittany O'Regan captured the 5000 meters Saturday at the Al Manuel Invitational at Dornblaser Field on the University of Montana.
O'Regan crossed the finish line in 18:20.20 and was followed by a host of teammates. Amber Watson of Rocky Mountain College was second, but Bulldogs Kayla Lloyd (third, 18:30.0), Elizabeth Slamkowski (fourth, 18:31.40), Lacey Nation (sixth, 18:48.0), Kristen Lightfoot (eighth, 19:46.70) and Molly Moore (10th, 19:50.30) dominated the top 10.
Corrina O'Brien and Brenn Donnelly were fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 1500 meters. O'Brien finished in 4:50.17 and Donnelly in 4:55.84. Molly Funk was 10th.
The best finish for the men came from Hans Hagmeier and Brett Withers who finished fifth and sixth, respectively, in the 1500 meters. Hagmeier was timed in 4:08.28 and Withers was right on his heels in 4:08.60. Ben Lance was ninth in 4:09.25.
