Kane Has Successful Knee Surgery

SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University women's basketball junior guard Rachel Kane underwent successful surgery to reconstruct the ACL on her right knee on Thursday afternoon. The point guard from Kaneohe, Hawaii, suffered the injury during her freshman year at Gonzaga and had the ACL come loose from the during the Bulldogs exhibition game against Seattle Pacific University on Nov. 12. The surgery was performed in Spokane by Dr. Peterson and Dr. Vanderwilde.
The Bulldogs are currently in Reno, Nev., to participate in the Nugget Classic. The team faces Northwestern State University of Louisiana during the opening round Friday night.
