Gonzaga Men's Golf Tied For 8th

GOODYEAR, Ariz. - Gonzaga University's men's golf team is tied for eighth after 36 holes of the Grand Canyon Thunderbird Invitational.

The Bulldogs are knotted with Northern Kentucky University at 577 heading into Tuesday's final 18 holes. Cal State University-San Marcos is in the lead with a 560, eight strokes ahead of St. Martin's College.

Souta Nozaka is in a 9-way logjam for 13th after two rounds with a 141. Nozaka had rounds of 71-70 over the par 72, 7,015-yard Palm Valley Golf Course layout. Jimmy Hayes was alone in 26th with a 144 and Stu Bell was tied for 27th with 145. Billy Moon of Cal State Stanislaus and Kris Swanson of St. Martin's were atop the leaderboard at 138.
