Bulldogs Third At SCU Invitational

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Matt Munroe shot a 150 and Stu Bell a 151 to help Gonzaga University to third place after 36-holes of the Santa Clara University Invitational men's golf tournament Monday.

Munroe had rounds of 76-74 to tie Kellen Moss of the host SCU White team for fourth at 150m while Bell posted rounds of 76-75 over the 6,926-yard, par 72 Silver Creek Valley Country Club course. to tie Mike McCabe of the University of Portland at 151.

The Bulldogs stand at 613 and in third place heading into Tuesday's final 18 holes, five strokes behind Holy Names University and a single stroke ahead of Portland.

The host Broncos hold a 20-stroke lead over Holy Names.

Michael Nicoletti of SCU and Brian Little of Sacramento State University share the 36-hole lead at even-par 144 for a 4-stroke advantage over Jong Yoon of SCU.
