SACRAMENTO - Gonzaga University men's golf finished the 2003 Sacramento State Invitational with a team score of 342 as the Bulldogs ended the tournament in eighth place. Junior college transfer Souta Nozaka led the Bulldogs as he finished tied for 21st in the event. Gonzaga finished with a team score of 998 over three rounds of competition, Nozaka the only GU golfer to break into the 70's with first day totals of 76 and 78.
UC Davis won the team title and Eric Restrepo of UC Davis won individual honors. The Bulldogs now travel to San Diego to compete in the Toreros tournament starting on March 17.
