Sam MacDonald joined Gonzaga in August of 2016, coming from Kimmel Athletic Supply in Spokane, Wash.
MacDonald oversees the use and protection of Gonzaga University logos and trademarks in addition to leading all communication with licensees, vendors and Gonzaga’s licensing partner, CLC.
Prior to arriving at Gonzaga, MacDonald served as the Sales and Licensing Director for Kimmel Athletic Supply from 2004-16. With Kimmel, MacDonald oversaw the retail sales for all Gonzaga Athletic events while managing a sales force for roughly 20 sales representatives. He also worked closely with all GU departments to provide an assortment of product needs.
Before his time with Kimmel, MacDonald worked for Dynamic Fabricators from 2003-04 as a mechanical engineer designing fiberglass boats and water cooling tanks.
MacDonald earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with a minor in business from Gonzaga in 2003. He currently resides in Spokane with his wife, Candice.
