Krista O’Brien serves as the Assistant to the Athletic Director at Gonzaga University, a position she has held since 2021 following her work in the university’s fundraising division. A proud Gonzaga alumna, Krista holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in organizational leadership. She brings a deep passion for collegiate athletics and a strong foundation in community engagement to her role.
Before returning to Gonzaga, Krista spent 12 years with the University of Washington’s athletic department, where she held a variety of roles, including Major Gift Officer, Annual Giving Lead, Stewardship Manager, and Events Coordinator. Her professional background also includes development and marketing experience at Washington State University and the University of New Mexico.
Krista is married to a fellow Gonzaga alum Scott O’Brien. The couple has one daughter, Sloan, who is already a devoted Zag fan.
