After serving as a volunteer assistant for the Gonzaga men’s cross country/track program in 2022-23, Devin Fahey has been named the program’s Graduate Assistant for the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons. Fahey will assist Head Coach Pat Tyson while studying Organizational Leadership.
“Excited to announce Devin Fahey will be with our coaching staff for the next two years,” Tyson said. “Devin comes in with some great assets. I love his positive energy and knowledge base he learned at Houston under his coach Steve Magness. It will be a fun two years with Devin.”
Prior to Gonzaga, Fahey earned a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Psychology from the University of Houston. During his time there, Fahey competed under coach Steve Magness in both cross country and track from 2017-2021. A native of the Houston area, Fahey helped lead Stratford High School’s cross country team to back-to-back state championships in 2013 and 2014.
“I am beyond thrilled to be taking a role with Gonzaga University,” Fahey said. “I moved across the country to work with such a legendary coach like Pat Tyson and an amazing team of driven athletes. I’m looking forward to learning as much as I can and supporting the Zags towards their bright future!”
