Toby Finn Wins Bronze at World Rowing U23 Championships

DUISBURG, Germany – Gonzaga men's rower Toby Finn earned a bronze medal with the United States men's Four boat at the 2026 World Rowing Under 23 Championships on Saturday in Duisburg, Germany.
Finn and Team USA crossed the finish line in 6:00.26 to place third in the Men's Four A Final, securing a spot on the podium against a field featuring six of the top crews in the world.
Great Britain captured the world title with a time of 5:56.10, while Australia finished second in 5:58.94. The United States followed in third, finishing nearly three seconds ahead of fourth-place China. Romania and South Africa rounded out the six-boat final.
Finn raced alongside Kian Aminian of Princeton, Jordan Dykema of Harvard and Timothy Parsons of Yale in the U.S. four. Finn was selected to the U23 National Team after receiving an invitation to USRowing's selection camp earlier this summer.
The bronze caps a strong week for the U.S. crew at the World Championships, which featured the world's top under-23 rowers competing in Duisburg from July 23-26.

The men's four battled a tightly packed field in the opening 500 meters, racing alongside Great Britain and Australia. The U.S. moved into medal position during the second 500 meters, gaining ground on China and setting up a thrilling finish. The crew of Gonzaga University's Tobias Finn, Harvard University's Jordan Dykema, Princeton University's Kian Aminian, and Yale University's Timmy Parsons delivered a powerful sprint to cross the line in 6:00.26 and secure the bronze medal. Of note, Tobias Finn displayed incredible maturity in his first national team appearance, stroking the crew to the USA's first back-to-back podium in this event. Dykema, Aminian, and Parsons previously raced on U.S. U19 teams, with Aminian and Parsons also making multiple U23 national team appearances.
