
Gonzaga Track finishes final day of Bryan Clay Invitational

AZUSA, Calif.- Gonzaga Men's Track finished out their third and final day at the Bryan Clay Invitational, focusing solely on the 1500 meters today while continuing to see lots of new personal best times.
Logan Schwartz ran the fifth fastest time in program history, clocking a finish of 3:44.99. This was the second straight day that Schwartz moved into the program history books after he ran a top five program time in the 5k yesterday. He was joined in the rewritten record books by Ryan Mitchell, who ran the tenth fastest 1500 meters in program history when he finished with a time of 3:46.40.
Ten other Zags clocked a sub four minute time in the 1500 meters today. Logan Law (3:47.95), and Mason Kissell (3:49.40) went under the 3:50 mark, while Jacob Alfonso (3:50.04), Hayden Roberts (30:50.54) and Paul Talens (3:50.61) finished within a second of each other. Will Thorsett (3:52.12), Caden Swanson (3:53.26), Samy Anderson (3:54.54), Sean Janecko (3:56.36) and Gus Clevenger (3:59.53) all ran solid times to round out the meet.
The Zags will take on another huge national meet next week, when Gonzaga Track travels to Des Moines, Iowa to take part in the Drake Relays. The Drake Relays will span from April 22 to 25.
